“B” Day 
STUDENTS:
Wrestling practice will Monday , October 27th, after school.  If interested please come to the office to sign up.
Don’t forget, 8th grade Literacy students – You may earn 10 extra credit points if you participate in the grade-wide dress up day this Friday, October 24.  In order to receive the extra credit, you must dress up as a Greaser or a Soc. Here are few ideas on how you could dress up:
Greaser Clothing:
  • boys: hair combed back and greased
  • girls: hair teased or in a greased back pony tail
  • white t-shirt
  • leather jacket
  • jeans rolled up at the cuff
  • white socks
  • tennis shoes
Soc Clothing
  • Boys:
  • polo shirt
  • khaki pants
  • hair neatly combed to the side
  • Girls:
  • hair neatly groomed
  • polo, khaki pants, long dress/skirt
Please check the lost and found box in the cafeteria to see if anything in there belongs to you.  We are trying to check it out.
Yearbook forms are now in the office and in Mrs. Ferguson’s room. One exciting change taking place this year is that the Yearbook will be in CO LO R!!  Yearbooks must be preordered and cost is $17.50. Order forms and payment must be turned into the office by February 19th, 2015.
PARENTS:
If your child is involved in sports or fine arts, please get in the habit of going to the WaMac Conference website to check on upcoming events.  Tom Gruenwald, 7-12 activities director, update this site regularly.  This site also give the addresses of the opponents school. Bookmark it and check it.   Website is: wamacconference.org.  We also have  User Guides for anyone interested.
Mrs. Snell, Ms. Wiese and Mrs. Fuchs will be hosting a parents night on October 27th at 6:00 PM. We will be serving Sloppy Joe’s, chips and a beverage. Topics will include:  Technology in Education, Cyber Bullying and Bully Prevention at the Middle School.  Babysitting will provided by Student Council Members.
THIS YEAR’S 7th GRADERS DOCUMENTATION OF THE Tdap VACCINE ON THE CERTIFICATE OF IMMUNIZATION WILL NEED TO BE PROVIDED TO THE MIDDLE SCHOOL NURSE PRIOR TO THE BEGINNING OF SCHOOL THIS YEAR OR ENROLLMENT CAN BE DENIED ACCORDING TO THE IOWA LAW.
