“A” Day
STUDENTS:
The Middle School will be hosting another Box Top blitz this week. For every 10 Boxtops or Campbell’s soup labels you bring in, your name will be put in a drawing for various prizes. Please turn in all labels to Mrs. Cavanagh. Prizes will be drawn on Tuesday the 24th.
Student Council are selling t-shirts to help raise money for the Young family who’s son, Dakota was diagnosed with Leukemia this past July. Shirts are $12 and order forms can be picked up at any of the schools or email Mrs. Ferguson and request an electronic order form. (sferguson@maquoketa.k12.ia.us)
Student Council will be kicking off our Pennies for Patients collections for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society on Monday, November 9th. Our goal as a school is $500. We have a way for everyone to participate!
Anyone still interested in joining Student Council please see Mrs. Ferguson.
Maquoketa Middle School Yearbooks are now for sale. Yearbooks are once again in color and are $17.50. Forms are in the office or in Mrs. Ferguson’s room. Forms need to be turned in by March 11th.

PARENTS:

Give Kids a Smile Bus will be parked at Cardinal on Monday, December 14, 2015. This is a free service for students who qualify which includes a free dental exam, cleaning, oral hygiene education, free fluoride treatments, free dental sealants if necessary and a free toothbrush, toothpaste and floss Student’s may qualify if he/she has never been to the dentist, has not been do the dentist for 6 months, receives Medicaid/Hawk-I Insurance, Is NOT covered under a private dental insurance. Transportation to the bus at Cardinal from the Middle School and back will be provided. Forms are available in the office and must be returned BY DECEMBER 1, 2015 to the office. Give Kids a Smile (Bethany for children and families) will determine who is eligible and you will be notified by their coordinator.
