STUDENTS:
Any 7th grade boy interested in playing basketball this season should come to an informational meeting on Tuesday, December 17th, in Room 34, from 3:20-4:00 PM.  If you cannot attend, please see Mr. Fuss.
Dance Marathon is a community event on Dec 21st that is held at Maquoketa High School to honor kids who have had to use the Iowa City Children’s Hospital for an extended period of time and raise funds for the hospital. This year, 8th Grader Andrew Proshuto is one of our honored kids because he was born legally blind. If you would like to support Andrew by joining his team – you can purchase a Team Andrew shirt next week on Monday Dec 9th and Tuesday Dec 10th for $10. Please order from Mrs Orris in her classroom and pay when you place your order. Shirts will be in the week of Dec 16th!

Do you have someone special you want to send a Secret Santa message to?  Student Council will be selling Giant Candy Canes from December 3rd – December 16th. Candy Canes are $2.00 and we will deliver them December 20th along with a special message from their Secret Santa.  See Mrs. Ferguson in room 37 to order.

The ALL SCHOOL SPELLING BEE competition will be hosted on Tuesday, Dec. 10th. It will be held during Zero Hour. There has been a lot of interest in this school-wide activity – so those of you who have picked up a packet and are studying all the spelling lists – BE READY for a great competition. We will be sending our 4 best spellers from the Middle School to the next level of competition in Dubuque in Jan. (date to be determined). I am looking forward to this event. Have your family, friends, and fellow bees help you study.
Student Council is  selling Yearbooks.  Cost is $15.00.  Forms are in the office and must be turned in by February 15th, 2014.
