The RoboCards did it again – they WOW’ed the judges with their Project portion of the FLL (Lego) competition with weekend. The teams Innovative Solution dealt with wrist bands that could be developed for saving lives after a Tsunami (or any Natural Disaster for that matter). The wrist bands would be locators for survivors or used in recovery efforts. The team had a great day! I was fun watching them come together and enjoy themselves. Congratulations RoboCards – you represented yourselves and Maquoketa Middle School well.
A special thank you to the Quad City Engineers, Iowa State University, volunteers for the event, parents, and Michael Kean (John Deere engineer) for volunteering his time to work with the students in developing their robot.
