“B” Day
STUDENTS:
For safety reasons, Mrs. Snell wants to remind everyone that they are not to go near or climb on the snow piles in the first of the building.
There will be a softball meeting Thursday March 20th at 7:15pm in the commons area at the high school for all 8th grade girls interested in playing high school softball this summer.  The agenda will include equipment and schedules.
Maquoketa CAGE/Speech & Drama Club will be hosting Maquoketa’s Got Talent on March 29th at MHS.  Auditions will be March 17 & 18 from 6-9 p.m. at MHS Room 300 (Krum).  If you can sing, dance, act or are in a band, why not try out and maybe you can be the next Maquoketa’s Got Talent winner.  For more information contact Mrs. Krum at MHS (652-2451 Ext. 256) or Mrs. Pfab at MHS or MMS LMC.
Building and Designing Simple Machines:   How do you build a simple machine out of LEGO® bricks? This mini-camp we will explore and test the function of different LEGO® technic components and discover how those components can work together to create all kinds of simple machines.  Campers will create a Spider that crawls on 8 legs and modify our Dragster for maximum speed. Campers will explore the creative process of model design and at the completion of the camp, each camper will have the opportunity to present his or her own design idea or design enhancements to family, neighbors and friends. Come build with us.

Date/Time:   June 30th- July 2nd, 2014 from 1 to 3 each day.    Cost: $60             Grades: 4 to 8
Any boys interested in the Spring Pitching/Hitting Clinic should pick up a form in the office.
Our Youth Philanthropy Board in Jackson County (PBnJ) is hosting a Bump,Set, Spike for Charity volleyball tournament at Easton Valley High School in Preston on March 29th at 10:00 AM. If interested stop by the office to pick up a packet.  Please return any filled out packets to the office.
PARENTS:
THIS YEAR’S 6TH GRADERS DOCUMENTATION OF THE Tdap VACCINE ON THE CERTIFICATE OF IMMUNIZATION WILL NEED TO BE PROVIDED TO THE MIDDLE SCHOOL NURSE PRIOR TO THE BEGINNING OF SCHOOL NEXT YEAR OR ENROLLMENT CAN BE DENIED ACCORDING TO THE IOWA LAW.
