The following students participated in Book Fair Preview Week and were awarded a $2.50 certificate to be used at the book fair.

Scholastic Book Fair will be available Monday, March 3 thru Thursday, March 6 during the school day and during parent teacher conferences at the Maquoketa Middle School LMC.  Please stop by to see what new books are available for students, staff and parents to purchase.

Any 8th grader interested in cheerleading next year should pick up an information sheet in the office.
Our Youth Philanthropy Board in Jackson County (PBnJ) is hosting a Bump,Set, Spike for Charity volleyball tournament at Easton Valley High School in Preston on March 29th at 10:00 AM. If interested stop by the office to pick up a packet.
UW-Platteville – College of Engineering is sponsoring a day called Dreaming of the Sky for any interested girls from grades 6-8 .  Learn about the exciting career opportunities that are available for women interested in STEM. The hands-on, interactive career sessions will give you some ideas for exploring careers that involve problem solving and experimentation, putting things together and taking them apart, and using what you learn in your studies of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). Plus, it is lots of fun! If interested – see Mrs. Kopp, Mrs. Hingtgen, Mrs. Willimack, or Mrs. Wold for more information and forms. Registration closes on Feb. 28th. The date is Sat., March 8th from 8:30 – 3:00.
If you are in preschool through 8th grade we have the YMCA 2014 Spring soccer forms in the office.  Registration is until March 6th.

THIS YEAR’S 6TH GRADERS DOCUMENTATION OF THE Tdap VACCINE ON THE CERTIFICATE OF IMMUNIZATION WILL NEED TO BE PROVIDED TO THE MIDDLE SCHOOL NURSE PRIOR TO THE BEGINNING OF SCHOOL NEXT YEAR OR ENROLLMENT CAN BE DENIED ACCORDING TO THE IOWA LAW.
