Student Council will be selling beads in the cafeteria Friday, October 3rd for .50 each and tattoos for $1.00 each.
We will begin collecting pet food for our annual HOMECOMING PET FOOD DRIVE on Thursday, September 25th and collect until Friday, October 3rd. Please drop your items off in Mrs. Ferguson’s room (RM.37) anytime before or after school. For each time you donate you will get your name in the bucket for a drawing for cool “Cardinal” items. As always the main prize will be a football signed by the Maquoketa Cardinal football team!!!!
Yearbook forms are now in the office and in Mrs. Ferguson’s room. One exciting change taking place this year is that the Yearbook will be in CO LO R!! Yearbooks must be preordered and cost is $17.50. Order forms and payment must be turned into the office by February 19th, 2015.
There will be a shuttle bus to take football players to the high school on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays at 3:30 on regular school days. They are not to walk over to HS.
Just a reminder that if you have not filled out a free/reduced form for this year, please do so by September 30th. Carryover from last year will stop as of then. We also need a waiver filled out if you have free/reduced lunches. Forms were sent out in the district newsletter at the first of the year. Forms can also be picked up in the office.
We have collected 12 pairs of glasses in our lost and found in the office. If your child has lost a pair in the last year, please have them check in the office.
Please note that letters have been sent out to the 7th grade students that have not turned in their proof of having received the Tdap shot. Last day to attend school is October 15th.
THIS YEAR’S 7th GRADERS DOCUMENTATION OF THE Tdap VACCINE ON THE CERTIFICATE OF IMMUNIZATION WILL NEED TO BE PROVIDED TO THE MIDDLE SCHOOL NURSE PRIOR TO THE BEGINNING OF SCHOOL THIS YEAR OR ENROLLMENT CAN BE DENIED ACCORDING TO THE IOWA LAW.
