The first soccer practice will be March 17th at 4:30 in the West Gym.  Bring appropriate gym clothes, shoes, shin guards, and socks.  Plan on practice being indoors.  If the conditions permit, we may be outside, so bring outdoor soccer cleats and warmer clothing.  If you haven’t signed up for boys soccer yet, there is still a chance to sign up in the Main Office.  If you did not play last season, did not sign up before winter break, or have not attended any open gyms, but are still interested in playing,  make sure to add your name so that the roster can be updated and your eligibility can be confirmed.  To all other students playing soccer, you must have your annual physical and concussion waivers submitted to the office before you can participate in any soccer related activities.– Coach Kober

In order to play soccer, participating students must have both physical and release forms turned into the office.  The following students signed up to play soccer have not done so: Visar Ajrora, Dawson Bowling, Thomas Clark, Brad Crist, Tait Hotler, Rylon Mortenson, Cale Muhlhausen, and Casey Starr.

CAGE is hosting once again MAQUOKETA’S GOT TALENT!  Auditions are March 17th and 18th from 6-9pm in MHS room 300.  Age categories are Middle School, High School and Adult.  Any questions call 652-2451 ext 256.

On March 19th, 2014 at 7pm in the Maquoketa High School Main Gym, Justin and Kelly Sparks will be giving a presentation on how decisions made with regard to alcohol have impacted their lives, their family and their community.  The event is free and open to the public.  The event is being sponsored by Maquoketa Community High School in partnership with the Jackson County Prevention Coalition.   Parents are encouraged to bring their middle school & high school students.
