Attention all Wrestling Advocates:

Wednesday, October 19th the Maquoketa Wrestling Club will be hosting their annual “Community Meeting” from 6-6:30 at the HS Library. They will be introducing Jordan Richardson the new AAU Wrestling Coach, and will be voting in board members.  Board positions are three year terms, once renewed if wanted.  Current nominations are being sought for: President, Secretary and four community “At Large” positions.  Returning voting members include:  Chris Meinecke – Vice President, Jody Holtz-Treasurer, and three voting coaches: Paul Koob – High School, Eric Spittler – Middle School, and Jordan Richardson- AAU coach.  Please submit your nominations to Kerry Schepers.  Call/text/FB 319-350-3792 or email:   

Following the “MWC Community Meeting” the club will host AAU Wrestling Parent meeting and Registration from 6:30 – 7:30.  All parents are encouraged to come at 6 and attend the community meeting.  There will be students in the old gym hosting a dodge ball game until the AAU registration meeting starts at 6:30.

Staff members or parents wanting to order a CAGE t-shirt or sweatshirt, please have your order into Mrs. Krum by Thursday!  We need to get them ordered to have them back in time for the fall show.  See or call Mrs. Krum for designs and for costs!  Thanks for supporting CAGE!

Students interested in joining National Honor Society need to have their application turned in to Mrs. Milder in Room 116 by Wednesday, October 12.


PICTURE RETAKES have been scheduled for Wednesday, October 26th, beginning at 8:00 am for anyone interested, or those who were absent on picture day.  If a student is doing retakes, they are required to bring back the original picture package. New order forms are available in the office.


Hawkeye Community College will be in the Counseling Office on Mon Oct 17 at 1:00.  A signup sheet is in the Counseling Office.

First place winners earn the right to compete at the IA State Special Olympics Bowling Competition held in Cedar Rapids on November 19.
Winter cheer tryouts will be held on Friday, October 14. If you are interested in doing either basketball cheer or wrestling cheer, please stop in room 108 to pick up an informational sheet.
