1st Business Club meeting is Thursday, Sept. 14 at 7:45am in Ms. Buckwalter’s room (202)

 

The items you have donated toward hurricane relief are awesome, but cannot help the victims right away.  Did you know that your gift of a blood donation can be used immediately?  The Mississippi Valley Blood Center has already sent one shipment to Texas and more will be needed.  In addition, they will be sending shipments to Florida.  If you are 16 or older, please sign up in Mrs. Horner’s office to donate on September 28th

Open courts for tennis will be Tuesday, September 12 from 3:45-4:30 at the tennis courts by the baseball/softball diamonds. Any students in grades 9-12 are welcome to attend. Please see Mrs. Raker if you have any questions.

 

Ed Leadership students working at Briggs Elementary will meet in the Cafeteria today during DST.

A collection is now in progress to help the victims of Hurricane Harvey.  Boxes are in the front of the building for donations. Clothing and personal items will be collected through Friday, September 8, 2017. There will be collection boxes at the game Friday night as well.

Homecoming Olympic forms are available in the office. The Olympics will take place on Sunday, September 17 at the high school track. Teams should consist of five boys and five girls from the same grade.

 

Seniors can nominate for homecoming court on Tuesday, September 5 and Wednesday, September 6 during all lunch shifts. Seniors can nominate 8 boys and 8 girls from their grade.

There is an All Sport Parent and Coaches meeting scheduled for 6:30 on Wednesday, Aug 30th in the new gym. All Middle School and High School parents (and Coaches) who will have a student going out for athletics this year are encouraged to attend this meeting.

ATTN Students: The Homecoming Theme for 2017 is “Around the World”. The Homecoming Game will be Friday, September 22 and the dance will be September 23. Stay tuned for more details. Thank you for participating in the selection of the theme.

 

June 19th-20th I am teaching a two-day camp with an overnight stay in our residence halls for junior and senior high school students interested in learning more about human anatomy and physiology.  Students will explore organ systems on the human cadavers.  Below is the link with information on all the camps.  Scholarships are available for students who qualify for free or reduced lunch.  If you have questions call Brenda at St. Ambrose University

Mrs. Taylor’s block 3 Health will eat first lunch shift Monday, Wednesday, and Friday this week.. Mr. Brun’s class will eat 3rd lunch shift on these days.

STUDENTS:  Since the microwave in the lunchroom has been misused, there will be NO way for you to heat your lunch.  The office microwave is not available – please plan accordingly.

Come ready to dance!  Be prepared to learn a short routine and perform various jumps.

TEST DRIVE a car from our local Ford dealership on April 28, from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and help support BPA and CAGE!  Inform your parents, neighbors, and community members to come out that evening and just for test driving a vehicle, they will be supporting these two organizations!  (Watch for flyers around school for more information!)

Spanish Club is selling white and black Cardinal PopSockets for $10! Purchase one in Miss Wallace’s room (110) until they’re gone!
