Senior receives Paul Mann Social Justice & Student Activism Award
Senior Mackenzie Intelkofer was awarded the Paul Mann Social Justice & Student Activism Award given by the Iowa State Education Association. Makenzie has dedicated hundreds of community service hours during her time in high school. She is involved in Student Senate, Dance Team, Soccer, Business Professionals of America (BPA), Health Occupational Students of America (HOSA), Band, and Club hOpe. She will not compete at the National level. So proud of her accomplishments!
Cardinal Holds Annual Book Parade
Cardinal held its annual book parade this spring to celebrate reading. Students and families decorated wagons and carts with a book theme and paraded through the building encouraging a love of reading to all present.
In Search for the Ultimate Poem
March Madness does not exist just for basketball. 7th grade participates in its own March Madness bracket as it seeks the ultimate poem as chosen by the students at Maquoketa Middle School. This year’s winner: “Miracles” by Walt Whitman.
