March 22nd
“B” Day

Students:

The Middle School now has a place to recycle markers! This includes any type of marker including crayola, sharpie, expo. PLease place all worn out markers in the box located in the cafeteria. Thanks for doing your part to keep our landfills free from markers!

Yearbook form are now available in the office. They need to be pre-ordered and the cost is $17.50. Last day to order yearbook will be March 29th.

This week starts the NCAA March Madness basketball tournament. The PBIS team will once again be holding it’s annual tournament bracket challenge. If you want to participate, please see Mr. Miller for a bracket. You may play as many brackets as you wish at a cost of 5 CARDS per bracket. Prizes will be given to the winner of each grade level and an overall winner.

This year the Maquoketa High School is performing Shrek the Musical on April 12th & 13th.
They will be selling “Ogre Ears” as a fundraiser. The cost is $5.00 per set and you will receive them the week of the show to wear to the matinee performance on April 11th. Forms are available in the Middle School office. Please bring completed order form and exact amount of money to the Middle School office by noon, Friday, March 22. Make check payable to MCSD.

Come participate in the Maquoketa Great Scavenger Race on Saturday, April 13th at 10.00 AM. Cost is $15.00 per participant, children 5 and young are free. Flyers may be put up in the office.

Cheerleading tryouts for the football season will be held this Saturday, March 23 at the high school. Tryouts start at 7:30 a.m. and end at 4 p.m. There will be an hour for lunch from 11:30-12:30. Please wear athletic attire, no jewelry, tennis shoes, and have your hair up. If you have any questions, contact Mrs. Edwards at the high school through email or at 652-2451 ext. 4255.

Genesis VNA will be coming to the Middle School to administer the TDap and Meningococcal vaccines (required for 7th grade students) to any 6th grade student with a completed consent form. Forms were sent home with all 6th grade students. Completed consent forms must be returned to the office by March 22nd to reserve vaccines.
