“B” Day

Students:

The Middle School now has a place to recycle markers! This includes any type of marker including crayola, sharpie, expo. PLease place all worn out markers in the box located in the cafeteria. Thanks for doing your part to keep our landfills free from markers!

Come participate in the Maquoketa Great Scavenger Race on Saturday, April 13th at 10.00 AM. Cost is $15.00 per participant, children 5 and young are free. Flyers may be put up in the office.

Pitch Run & Run will held on April 27th at 11:00 at the Grove Street Ballparks. You may register on line at PitchHitRun.com or pick up a form in the office. It is open to boys and girls aged 7-14.

Yearbooks are for sale through April 5th. If you need an order form please see Mrs. Ferguson in room 37 or visit the office. Cost is $17.50, don’t let this slip by get your 2018/2018 Yearbook now!!

CONGRATULATIONS to our band students who represented Maquoketa Middle School so well at last Saturday’s NEIBA Solo & Ensemble Festival.

Out of 65 entries, the results were as follows:

52 (80%) of all entries received “Superior” ratings (This is the best rating.)

12 of all entries received “Excellent” ratings

1 entry received a “Good” rating

Of the 52 entries receiving “Superior” ratings, 14 performances received the additional distinction of “Highly Superior.” A “Highly Superior” rating is given for an exceptional performance demonstrating advanced musical maturity. This is a BIG improvement over last year when 73% of a total of 56 entries received a “Superior” rating, and just 6 performances were awarded “Highly Superior.” WAY TO GO BANDS!
