“B” Day

STUDENTS:

Congratulations to the members of the Maquoketa Middle School Jazz Band for representing our school so well at last Saturday’s Eastern Iowa Middle School Jazz Festival. The clinicians praised the students for the band’s great sound, and for the enthusiasm they put it into playing every song. Soloists for this year include Jordan Armbruster, Brooke Dundee, Dane Durkop, Greyson Eltrich, Brady Hahn, and Allyson Heister.

Chalk the Walk is coming soon! It is part of LAYERS OF MAQUOKETA WEEK, MAY 1 -5 with “family” friendly hands – on activities. Guidelines have changed in the following area:

Registrations on May 5 at 9am will be accepted
Pre-drawing will not be required prior to the event but an idea needs to be presented at the time of registration
No ideas, don’t worry as printed possibilities will be available as suggestions at the time of registration
Can be individuals or groups
Can use works and logos
Area artist will be available to provide support, ideas and assistance when needed

May 9 will be the last day to check out books from the library

Students will be getting overdue book and lost book slips weekly from now until the end of the year

All books are due back to the library May 18
