“A” Day

Maquoketa Kiwanis Club will be hosting the local competition of the MLB Pitch Hit and Run competition on Thursday, June 15th at 11:00am at 5th Ward Park.  This competition is free for individuals ages 7-14 to participate in.  Winners have the chance to advance to a next level of competition at a MLB ballpark. For any questions contact Bob Gavin at 563.549.9415.

We have 4 Middle School yearbooks for sale in the office. Please bring in exact cash of $21.30 or a check payable to MCSD to Mrs. Flenker after 8am. First come, first served.

There will be an informational meeting for current 6th, 7th and 8th grade girls interested in playing volleyball next year.  Coach Burns will meet with you in the gym on Monday, May 22nd at 2:55. She will cover camp information, open gyms, etc. Please check in with your EXCEL teacher prior to attending the meeting. All 6th graders should communicate with their 8th period teacher.

Any current  6th or 7th grader interested in the Cardinal Youth Summer Football Camp July 17th-19th, sheets are in the office or here. Deadline to sign up is June 30th.

The Maquoketa Athletic Boosters would like you to consider volunteering your time at one, or more of the shifts available at this summers baseball/softball concessions.  Last year our club profited almost $9000 from these concessions alone, and it isn’t possible without the help of our athletes’ families.  Our club generously provides for our athletes every year and we could really use your help.  Please click on the link and sign up for shift/s you are available for.  Thank you in advance for all you do for our athletes.  If you have any questions please feel free to email Sheila Pauls at spauls1020@hotmail.com and she can assist you in signing up.

The Community Service Squad is hosting a Penny War. TODAY IS THE LAST DAY!

At the end of the day today, all points will be tallied and the winning grade will have a popsicle party sometime this week!
