Community School District Announces Superintendent Selection
Maquoketa, Iowa – The Maquoketa Community School District is pleased to announce that a contract for Superintendent of Maquoketa Community School District has been offered to Tara Notz.
Tara Notz (last name pronounced as notes) is currently the Director of Professional Growth and Student Learning at Maquoketa Community School District and has served in this role since 2018. Prior to serving in this position, Mrs. Notz served as PK-8 Principal at Andrew Community School District.
There were 19 applicants for the position. The Board and several stakeholder groups interviewed three finalists for the position on Wednesday, March 9, 2022. Mrs. Notz will assume the duties of Superintendent beginning July 1, 2022. McPherson & Jacobson L.L.C. served as consultants in the search process and will continue working with the Maquoketa Community School District Board of Education and the new superintendent in helping establish performance objectives for Mrs. Tara Notz.
