Cardinal Elementary is excited to continue our Carnival tradition to celebrate the completion of another fantastic school year full of progress and goal smashing!
During the Carnival, students will have opportunities to play games, learn more about different community programs and businesses, win prizes, enjoy fun Carnival food, and celebrate the progress and friendships we have made throughout the year while practicing the 8 habits of Leader in Me. The celebration starts off with a 2nd Grade "Talent Show," allowing our Cardinal 2nd grade students to "Find their Voice" and showcase their unique skills and talents. Participation is voluntary, and students will go through a try-out performance to ensure they are well-prepared for the final show.
After the show, families are invited to join us for a Cardinal Cookout prepared by Opaa during the lunch hour on May 27th, at an additional cost. Kindergarten will eat from 11:15-11:45, 1st Grade from 11:45-12:15, and 2nd Grade from 12:15-12:45. A sign-up sheet will be coming out soon. After the Cookout, we will have grade-level rotations at the outdoor Carnival! Kindergarten will attend from 12:45-1:20, 1st from 1:25-2:00, and 2nd from 2:05-2:45.
We are incredibly grateful to the Maquoketa Elementary Parent Lighthouse Team for their amazing efforts in helping us to plan and prepare for this event.
