All middle school students and family of middle school students are invited to attend a fall fundraiser tonight at the Middle School to support our iJAG program. Please join in on the fall fun tonight at the Middle School.


These students from the high school visited the University of Iowa today! They had a great time learning about the college, going on a campus tour and enjoyed a free lunch!
There are only a few college visits left this fall. Any junior or senior is welcome to stop into the counseling office to sign up.

The Booster Club is organizing a state send-off for Izzy Hardin on Thursday, October 31st, at 9:40 a.m. Thank you for helping make this a memorable moment for Izzy and showing support from our entire school community.


A couple students from the high school went to Capri for a Career Day this week! They were able to learn about Capri's programs and rotate through stations which included hair, nails, make-up and massages!
There are still a few college visits planned for this fall. Juniors and Seniors are welcome to stop into the counseling office to sign up.






Intro To Health Careers students got to learn about the Clark University nursing program from two of their current students. They also got to try their hand removing contaminated gloves.

A reminder that MCSD has a 1:30 pm early out today, Thursday, October 17th for conferences and no school on Friday, October 18th. Please reach out to your student's buildings if you have any questions about conferences for today. Thank You!


Congratulations to Daniel Hagen for being chosen for the Ninth Grade OPUS honor choir! Out of over 650 9th grade students who auditioned only 180 were selected. This is Daniels 3rd year in a row being chosen for the OPUS Honor choir Festival.


International Foods class got a hands-on cultural experience as they learned to craft sushi rolls. After studying the history and cuisine of Japan, the class put their newfound knowledge into practice, assembling sushi with seasoned rice and many additional toppings.










Nutrition and Meal Planning class crafted delicious smoothies. They carefully selected ingredients and blended flavorful drinks. A recipe of the students' own design will be featured for Maquoketa High School staff to try during Parent-Teacher Conferences this week!

Juniors and seniors visited the University of Northern Iowa this week. They had the opportunity to hear an admissions presentation and talk with a student panel. They also received a tour of campus and free lunch!
