
Friday night was the main event for Mrs. Manthei's Applied Business Development class with final pitches being made to three community judges, family, friends, and community members at Innovate 120. Tate Martin, Lexi Wallroff, and Dalton Miller have spent the semester dreaming of big ideas, building a business plan, and developing a script to share with the guidance of Mrs. Manthei and Robert Abbott.
This was a great event to see Maquoketa High School students shine big as future entrepreneurs!






Intro To Health Career students participated in Dementia Friend training with Sally Davies and Teddy Crawford.




Students enrolled in college Composition II class travelled to Clinton Community College this week. They had the opportunity to present their final research projects and learn from each other at a research symposium!

Intro To Health Career students learned about a few of the healthcare programs at Midwest Technical Institute today and got to try their hand at phlebotomy as well as suturing

It's officially May which means our senior's days are coming to an end soon. The next couple of weeks are full of senior events and important dates for our seniors to remember.
May 6th - Senior Decision Day, family and community members are welcome .
May 14th - Baccalaureate, held at First United Methodist Church, Maquoketa
May 19th - All seniors computers must be turned in.
May 20th -Senior grades are due. Seniors must be passing what you need to graduate in order to be part of the
commencement ceremony.
May 21st - Seniors Last Day - Awards Assembly - Graduation Practice. Family and community are welcome to attend
awards assembly. Graduation practice will follow and ATTENDANCE IS REQUIRED!!!
May 25th - Commencement. All seniors need to report to the high school's west gym by 1:00 pm.


Don't forget to join us for our senior decision day event on Tuesday, May 6th at 9:30 AM. This event recognizes all seniors and their future plans (college, military, apprenticeships, employed, seeking employment and those who are still deciding). We will also recognize any student planning to continue their athletic careers in college. Families and community members are welcome to attend. The event will also be available via a livestream.


Please join us for our Senior Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, May 21st at 9 AM. During this event we will be recognizing seniors who are receiving scholarships and awards. We will also recognize our students that have completed their CNA course, certificate programs through EICC and those earning their AA and/or AS degree through EICC. Students, parents, families and community members are welcome to attend. This event will also be available via livestream.
