Some students from the high school visited three colleges in Dubuque yesterday, including University of Dubuque, Clarke University, and Loras College with Mrs. McLaughlin. College visits are winding down for the year. Current sophomores and juniors should continue to explore post secondary options over the summer! The counseling office is looking forward to more college visits next year.

Katie Otten, a senior at Maquoketa High School, has been gaining valuable real-world experience through her Work-Based Learning class at Maquoketa State Bank! 💼✨ She’s had the opportunity to rotate through each department, learning the ins and outs of the banking world—from customer service to behind-the-scenes operations.

Maquoketa High School is proud to present, Sister Act! Based on the Touchstone Pictures Motion Picture "Sister Act" written by Joseph Howard. Join us at Ohnward Fine Arts Center on Friday April 11th or Saturday April 12th at 7:00pm. Today, we celebrate Paraprofessional Appreciation Day! 🎉 I want to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude to all the amazing para professionals in our district. Your unwavering support for our students, staff, and families makes a huge difference every day! 💙 You are truly valued members of our team.


You have the tux, you have the dress but don't forget.... the TICKETS!!! Prom tickets will be for sale on the following dates; Thursday, April 3, Friday, April 4, Monday, April 7, Tuesday, April 8 and Wednesday, April 9. Ticket are $50.00 a piece and will be for sale during lunch. Don't forget!


Maquoketa High School's Junior & Senior Prom will be held Saturday April 26th aboard the Mississippi Belle. Tickets are $50.00 each. Grand March will take place at 4:45 pm. Bus will load at 5:10 pm and arrive at the Mississippi Belle at 6:30 pm. Post Prom will follow at the Jackson Co. Fairground at 11:15pm. There will be karaoke, mini golf, gaming room, food and fun! Pictures will be done by Keepsake Portrait Studio before grand march begins. Individual, couples and groups will take place from 2 pm to 4 pm. Class pictures will follow on the south side of the new gym at 4:30 pm.
TICKETS for prom will be on sale during lunch at the High School April 3rd, 4th, 7th, 8th, and 9th. $50.00 each.
