Dear Maquoketa Families,

We invite you to attend our upcoming Parent-Teacher Conferences on Wednesday, October 15th, and Thursday, October 16th, both from 2:00 to 7:00 pm. This is a valuable opportunity to connect with your child(ren)’s teachers and discuss their progress during the school year.

This year, conferences will again be offered both virtually and in person. We will use our online scheduling system, Meet the Teacher, to arrange your appointments. You will receive a confirmation email with details, including a video link if you choose the virtual option. Our data shows that offering virtual conferences increases family participation, which is why we continue to provide this option.

At Cardinal Elementary, we encourage in-person conferences to foster strong early connections between families and the school. You can schedule these through Meet the Teacher and will then attend your student’s classroom for a face to face conference on your scheduled date and time. If you would prefer a virtual option at Cardinal, please communicate this with your child’s teacher.

Due to construction at Briggs Elementary, conferences for Briggs students will be held virtually on both days. These will be scheduled through Meet the Teacher and will only be offered virtually.

For Middle School and High School conferences, the schedule is as follows:
Wednesday, October 15th: Virtual conferences only. Please sign up through Meet the Teacher.
Thursday, October 16th: In-person conferences only, held in the High School West Gym and Middle School Gym as open house sessions. Teachers will be available on a drop-in basis, and scheduling through Meet the Teacher will be disabled for this day. Teachers will have a break from 4:30-5:00. We encourage you to attend in person to meet with teachers as they become available.

To schedule your child’s conference, please visit https://maquoketaschools.schoolcloud.co.uk/ and have your student’s name(s) and birth date(s) ready. We have included a short guide with step by step directions on how to book your appointments using “Meet the Teacher.”

If you experience any difficulties scheduling your conferences, please contact your child’s school office for assistance. They will be happy to help secure your appointments. We look forward to partnering with you to support your child’s learning journey.

Sincerely,

Maquoketa Administration
