
Hello Cardinal Elementary Families,
Today we recognized our last round of 2nd grade Leaders of the Week for the year. See the video (https://youtu.be/HCAzks-tAXY). We also had a few staff shout outs and another round of raffle prizes for Cardinal staff. Congratulations to Nurse Carlee who won a bouquet of flowers from The Flower Market. Our preschool paraprofessional, Stephanie Ricklefs, who won a special gift bag from Dollar Fresh. Thank you to Dollar Fresh and The Flower Market for your generosity and recognition of the dedication and hard work of staff at Maquoketa Community School District. We also celebrated our School Nurse Carlee on National School Nurse Day!

Students in the local dirt track squad went around town hanging up the Maquoketa Speedway schedule at different businesses.




Maquoketa Track and Band Families,
The Conference Track meet has been moved to Friday, May 3rd starting at 11:00 am at Monticello. This is due to the anticipated weather for Thursday evening. This has been schedule during the day to allow all band students to attend Conference Track and any students who are participating in Large Group Band and Vocal Contests in the evening.

Today we held the annual ribbon cutting ceremony for 1st Grade's Kidtown! This year our town was named, Iowa City Town. Let the fun begin!





Happy School Bus Driver Appreciation Day. Thank You to all of our bus drivers at Maquoketa CSD for transporting our students safely to school and home each day! You are such an important part of our students' school experience and you make a positive difference in our community!
