Kindergarten wrapped up their CKLA unit about Kings and Queens with a Royal Tea Party! Their attire was fancy and the manners were impeccable!

Queens Richardson, Gavin and Owen hosted a delightful party!
Today we had our final "Lunch with the Law" experience of the year with our kindergarten students. Malia DenHerder, Trae Kane Jr., and Declan Johnson enjoyed a meal at the Maquoketa DQ! Maquoketa Police Department, Assistant Chief Jason Thomson and School Resource Officer James Tenney rewarded these students with a yummy meal and ice cream dessert after they were nominated by classroom teachers for being great role models for others at Cardinal Elementary! As part of this honor these students got to select a teacher that makes a positive IMPACT on their learning. Well deserved, Mrs. Liz Wawro, Mrs. Stacy Owen, and Mrs. Whitney Richardson! We are proud of you all! ❤️👏 Thank you to the Maquoketa Police Department for providing this opportunity for our students and staff!

Change of plans for first grade's field trip today took us to the Hurstville Interpretive Center and Mrs. Trusty's class had a blast! We knew so much about animals and habitats from our previous learning from our Animals and Habitats unit in Knowledge, we were able to demonstrate our understanding and have fun while doing it. What a fantastic day! Thanks to Jackson County Conservation for hosting us. ❤️
