We are so excited to welcome our students back to school tomorrow, Monday, August 24th! We can’t wait to see our classrooms, hallways, and buildings filled with students again.
As we begin the year, please help us by allowing a little extra time and patience with transportation and traffic. Bus routes are new, and unexpected delays can happen during the first few days. Please follow all posted traffic signs, avoid blocking driveways, and give our buses and families a little extra space as everyone settles into new routines.
Important reminder: Tomorrow is a 2-hour early dismissal. For example, if your child normally dismisses around 3:15 p.m., they will dismiss around 1:15 p.m. Please make appropriate transportation arrangements and, if your child rides the bus, make sure someone is available to greet them when they arrive home.
You may also receive additional communication from your child’s specific school with building-level reminders. Please reach out if you have questions.

**Attention incoming Freshman Cards! Be sure to join us here at the High School on Wednesday, August 19th for a night of fun! We will begin the kick off and introductions in the main gym at 5:30pm. You will have opportunities to tour the school, meet teachers and staff, and explore all of the activities that MHS has to offer. Completing your passport will get you a Maquoketa High School Class of 2030 t-shirt!
